The Taxonomy Display block shows the taxonomy terms associated with a page, post, event or profile on your site, and links to other content with the same terms. Use this block to help visitors discover related content.

- At least one taxonomy vocabulary must be selected when displaying this block—audience, category or custom vocab
- This block will automatically update when new terms are added to your content

Custom VocabNone
Clicking any of the links will take you to a page displaying content that shares the same taxonomy term. As shown with the Audience vocabulary, multiple terms will appear in a list format. Additionally, there is no Custom Vocab for this page—if no terms within a vocabulary are assigned to your content, the value will display as ‘none.’
If you’re confident that a particular vocabulary won’t be used for your content—or if you prefer not to display it—you can deselect that vocabulary. This results in a cleaner block display, as shown in the example below.

Tips and Tricks
The Taxonomy Display block acts as a window into your site’s structure, giving you an opportunity to evaluate your taxonomy as a whole. To make the most of this block, consider the following tips. Also be sure to check out our page on Taxonomy and Vocabulary.
-
Merge terms that serve the same purpose: Duplicate or overlapping terms can confuse users and dilute the effectiveness of your categories. Make sure your terms are distinct enough and consider merging similar terms if they serve the same purpose.
-
Use consistent naming conventions: Establish and follow a clear pattern for naming your taxonomy terms (eg. singular or plural, capitalization style, or use of abbreviations).
-
Choose clear descriptive names: Avoid using in-house terms that may not be meaningful to your users. Opt instead for terms that are descriptive and intuitive.
-
Placement: Position near the top or bottom of content pages for maximum visibility
