What’s changed?

We’re excited to announce the release of version 1.8.0, introducing the new Image Banner block and expanded functionality for Views and Taxonomy. This release also includes several fixes and improvements aimed at enhancing the overall admin and end user experience.

Image Banner

The new Image Banner block allows you to showcase full-width images anywhere on your page, including in the header, offering more flexibility for your site design.

Views and Taxonomy Enhancements

Enhance your Page views with the new Category taxonomy. This update allows you to offer dynamic filtering options, making it easier for users to explore and discover content based on tags.

Fixes and Improvements 

Vendor Contribution Work   

  • Search page now has filter to view results by content type
  • Secondary link added to Content Spotlight
  • Theme dial added to Hero banner to choose different background colors

User Feedback Based Work 

  • Added dial to center Video blocks
  • Ability to bulk publish/unpublish pages

Accessibility Fix 

  • Content Spotlight now has option to set heading level in banner 

Authoring Experience

  • Views setting Must / Can now works and provides help text for teaching use
  • Select Media now works when filtering images in blocks 

DevOps

  • GA account token fix for NULL accounts
  • Switch Typogrify patch to local version 
  • Allow actions/checkout to run on forked repos
  • Switch to pull_request_target trigger for forked repo support
  • Bump ai_engine to 1.2.4
  • ai_engine enabled but turned off
  • Pass actual datetimes through
  • Bump atomic to 1.35.0
