Community Spotlight: Indigenous Leaders at Yale

Tuesday, November 28, 2023

The new YaleSites platform empowers organizations and departments to benefit from balancing Yale’s established and strong identity with a unique one. The team that created the new Indigenous Leaders at Yale website used theme settings, image capabilities, graphics, and a cool footer option featuring their logo for visual impact.

For Cayetana Navarro, Program Manager, Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Department of Medicine, using the YaleSites platform was an intuitive experience.

Visual elements were very important to us, partly because we are so new as an organization and with this website.  Since we don’t have a long history, we wanted to be sure there was plenty of visual appeal to help visitors know who we are.  Uploading images and getting them where they needed to be on the page was very easy, and we look forward to doing more with images in the future!

Cayetana added that the platform allowed for site development quickly under a time crunch and that the team is pleased by how straightforward it is to make updates.
