Have you ever wondered whether there are any broken links on your website? Whether it can be found by searching in Google? How about whether it’s accessible to people with disabilities? Siteimprove is a tool which can help you with all of these questions.
What is Siteimprove?
Siteimprove is a self-service application available to all Yale faculty and staff that provides website owners with valuable insights to improve the quality and accessibility of their sites. It helps optimize sites for search engine discovery and captures basic analytics about site usage to help prioritize improvement efforts.
The tool can help you answer important questions about your website, such as whether there are broken links, if it can be found through Google searches, and whether it’s accessible to people with disabilities.
How Siteimprove Works
The Siteimprove crawler runs every 5 days to store an up-to-date version of your site and identify potential issues. These issues are sorted into categories including Quality Assurance, Accessibility, and Search Engine Optimization. With the embedded analytics script on most sites, users can track page views and PDF clicks to help prioritize improvement efforts.
