YaleSites v2.22 is now available. This release introduces support for publication content, content management enhancements, bug fixes and more.

Developed in collaboration with Institution for Social and Policy Studies and their vendor partner, Square360.

Publications Support in the Resource Content Type

The Resource content type now includes dedicated support for publications, bringing a set of new fields to help you organize and showcase scholarly content.

New fields include journal publication name, affiliated and non-affiliated authors, areas of study, publication date, citation, and more.

New Features and Enhancements

  • Third font style option — Site Settings now includes a third font pairing choice: Yale New with standard lining numerals, for sites that want a clean, modern number style throughout. We also updated the default option to make explicit that it uses old-style numerals in the site name and headings, so all three choices are now intentional and clearly labeled.
  • The Resource view block now support portrait-orientation images, making it easier to display book covers and vertically framed photography in a clean grid layout.
  • Event date changes in Campus Groups will now be reflected to the site on the next sync. Previously, dates were stuck at the originally-imported date.
  • Removed the “Multi-Day Event” Label from views and listing block results

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a site’s custom branding name that would change back to “Yale University” when a site admin saved changes to the Header Settings in a content collection in site header.
  • Fixed the drag-and-drop overlay that blocked the “Add block” button when a block with no padding was placed at the bottom of a section with Content Preview disabled.
  • Fixed a menu hierarchy and drag-and-drop issue that was preventing editors from reorganizing large navigation structures.
  • Profile pages now correctly expose basic metatag fields in the manage settings sidebar.
  • Custom Vocabularies in Site Settings now default to “Custom Vocab” if the name field is left blank, preventing a confusing empty field.
  • Fixed a SoundCloud embeds using the newer double-encoded URL format. Now validates and renders correctly.
  • The pre-built form block now displays a clear configuration warning when a site is still using the default platform email address.
